Formed in 2003, in the city of Caxias do Sul- RS (Brazil), The Sceptic began as a project of the guitar players Lander and Maurício Corrêa with the support of bass player Marcelo Nunez. The inicial idea was to search for an unique sound, mixing tecnical and brutal death metal with the band´s own creative style. The main influences on the composing process were: Death, Nile, Morbid Angel and In Flames, to name a few. The band has been fighting for a place on the underground scene. After the short passage of three drummers by the band, namely Rafael Froner (Terrify), Roberto Ceccato (Predator) and João Vieira (Melancholic Art) the band decided to record its first studio register with programmed drums, considering that this would obviously increase the sound quality. From the recording sessions on Brave Metal Studio (www.bravemetal.com) came out the EP Psychopathological, with five original songs about insanity and pathologycal matters. Currently, after the new drummer, Marcos Conti, joined the band, we are preparing to go back on stage and show our new work.
